New Exhibition: “Radiant Landscape” by Hugo González Ayala

La Antigua Art Gallery is proud to present the exhibition “Radiant Landscape” by the renowned Guatemalan artist Hugo González Ayala.

Gonzalez Ayala is a true lover of his country. His work pays homage to his old villages battered by the sun, its lakes, its mountainous landscapes, the days and nights of the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala. They exploit color, light and shadow, movement and sometimes exquisite distortion. With firm brushstrokes, emphasis on color, geometric shapes and perspective on bird flight, his work is unique. Hugo González Ayala is a true icon of Guatemalan art.

The exhibition of more than 15 new oils and acrylics will be inaugurated on Saturday, April 8 at 4pm in La Antigua Art Gallery, 5th Avenue North No. 29 (near the Arch of La Antigua). Come and meet the artist, he will be present at the opening. The exhibition will remain open until May 7.
